A Love of Learning Begins at Home
HIPPY is an evidence-based home visiting program that helps parents and legal guardians prepare children ages 3, 4, and 5 for kindergarten. Through weekly visits, a structured curriculum, storybooks, and hands-on activities, families build early learning skills together at home.

Trained home visitors guide parents through each lesson and provide encouragement, resources, and practical support. HIPPY also includes monthly group meetings that help families connect, practice activities, and build a supportive learning community.

Monthly Group Connections
Families enrolled in HIPPY participate in monthly group meetings that bring parents, caregivers, and children together. Meetings may include family activities, parent education, opportunities to practice HIPPY lessons, and time to connect with other families.

These gatherings help families build relationships, strengthen confidence, and create a supportive learning community.

HIPPY Graduation
Each year, children who complete the HIPPY program are celebrated at a special graduation ceremony with their families. Parents and caregivers are invited to recognize their child’s hard work, growth, and preparation for kindergarten.

Graduates receive a certificate of completion and take part in a meaningful celebration that honors everything they and their families accomplished throughout the program.

Enrollment
The program runs from September through May, with open enrollment available as space allows. To enroll, participants must be the child’s parent or legal guardian.
