Executive Director
Elizabeth "Liz" Paulhus

Elizabeth “Liz” Paulhus, Executive Director, started at Catholic Charities of Southern Colorado in June 2021. Hailing originally from West Virginia, Liz has lived, worked, and studied in many places, ranging from Germany and England to Pittsburgh, PA. With a B.A. in Theology from Boston College and a Master’s in Public Policy from Brandeis University, Liz’s work over the last 17 years has focused heavily on creating policies and programs that provide stability, strengthen economic security, and open opportunities for growth and mobility for individuals and families. Outside of work, you are likely to find Liz reading, walking, or biking, depending on the weather.  

Finance Director
Cari Herrald

Cari Herrald, Finance Director, has been with Catholic Charities since April 2018. Cari manages the finance activities of the agency, including budgeting, forecasting, and fiscal reporting. Cari has a B.S. in Business Administration-Accounting from Colorado State University-Pueblo and more than nine years of professional accounting experience in a variety of business sectors. When not at work, you will often find Cari enjoying the Colorado outdoors while hiking or fishing.

Acting Director of Programs
Kristin "Anu" Keiley

Kristin "Anu" Keiley, Acting Director of Programs, has been with Catholic Charities since June 2015. A native of Hawai'i, Anu moved to Colorado after serving 12 years in the U.S. Army. She is responsible for ensuring program fidelity and quality improvement as well as building performance-driven teams. Anu holds a Bachelor's in Accounting and a Master's in Business Administration from Colorado State University-Pueblo. She is a master trainer of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and a facilitator for the University of Connecticut's Family Development Credential program. In her free time, Anu enjoys camping, road trips, soaking at Colorado’s hot springs, and spending time with her family.  

Advancement Director
Erika Retzlaff

Erika Retzlaff, Advancement Director, has been with Catholic Charities since October 2017. She plans and manages the advancement activities of the agency, including donor development, grant writing and management, and communications. Erika has a Bachelor’s in Athletic Training from Colorado State University-Pueblo and a Master’s in Healthcare Administration with a specialization in Finance from Colorado State University-Global. On the weekends, Erika enjoys spending time outdoors, cuddling her dog, and creating art.    

Director of Special Projects
Ida Rhodes

Ida Rhodes, Director of Special Projects, has been with Catholic Charities since August 2000. She currently is overseeing the agency’s large Communities That Care-B (CTC-B) community initiative. Ida has more than 30 years of experience in the early childhood field and sits on Governor Polis’s Early Childhood Leadership Commission. She received her accreditation in Mission Based Leadership and Organizational Development from the University of Notre Dame. In her free time, Ida and her husband enjoy fixing up old cars. Yet more than anything, she loves being a grandma and playing with her young grandsons.
