Parents As Teachers
Family Strengthening
Parents as Teachers is an evidence-based home visiting program that supports parents and caregivers as their child’s first and most important teacher. The program helps families understand child development, strengthen parent-child relationships, and connect with resources that support the health and well-being of the whole family.
Parents as Teachers offers personal visits that are customized to each family’s needs. Visits may focus on child development, parenting strategies, family well-being, developmental screenings, and community resource connections.
For ages 0 - 3*
During visits, families may receive support with:

Understanding their child’s development, learning, and behavior

Building stronger parent-child relationships through everyday interactions

Talking through parenting challenges and family dynamics

Creating protective factors that support caregiver, child, and family health

Identifying developmental concerns early through screenings

Connecting to community resources such as food, housing, health, mental health, early intervention, and other family supports
Lactation Support
Our lactation counselors will provide a nurturing environment where mothers can learn and grow together in their breastfeeding journey.
Whether you're a new mother navigating the early stages of breastfeeding or looking to enhance your existing knowledge, our lactation support provides the resources and community you need. Join us to empower yourself with knowledge and confidence in your breastfeeding experience. Together, we can nurture and support each other on this beautiful journey of motherhood.
